The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is the leading dementia specific service provider in Ireland and does tremendous work with those living with dementia and their carers.  As a national non-profit organisation the Alzheimer Society of Ireland relies on fundraising and donations from the communities they support.

Throughout the months of April, May, and June the Platinum Brand Communications team participated in the Alzheimer Society of Ireland’s ‘Do it for Dementia’ and ‘Keep Moving in May’ challenges.  The challenges were to walk 30km, 45km and 62km respectively during those months.  All with the purpose of raising much needed funds.

This proved to be a great challenge for our team as it motivated us to get out walking on a more regular basis.  Despite driving rain, powerful winds, and high temperatures, we got the opportunity to explore our local community all within a two-kilometre radius.  We discovered some great sights and learnt a lot about our local town.
